Winter Painting 2021
Because of quarantine restrictions The YMCA camp we normally go to for OPM Winter painting was closed. But a few of us were able to go up to the North Shore of Lake Superior to paint and maintain social distancing.
1/30/2021 - Painted the cliff on the side of the middle falls at Gooseberry Falls State Park. "Red Cliff" 8x10 oil.
2/1/2021 - Went to Britten Pike to paint. A short but steep and slippery hike to the top gave a great view. "Britton Peak View" 8x10 oil.
2/2/2021 -Went to the Kadunce River. Instead of following the trail along the top of the cliffs, we hiked down the river which was mostly frozen. "Frozen Falls" 8x10 oil.
2/3/2021 - Went to the Temperance River State Park down by Lake Superior. "Sun on the Water" 8x10 oil.
2/4/2021 - Went to Sugarloaf Cove. The point was and island, but then waves created a sandbar joining the island to shhore. That is called a tombolo. "Sugarloaf Cove Tomobolo" 8x10 oil.
